What do I need to know about taking care of my child?
The most important way for parents to help their child is to be an active member of a healthcare team. This means being prepared for visits, keeping records, asking questions, and standing up for a child’s needs and rights.
Meeting other parents of children with epilepsy may become a source of information, strength, and support as parents learn to cope with a child’s epilepsy from day-to-day.
Remember: When parents take good care of themselves, they also help their child.
